About the Event:
Almost every ancient temple you visit, you can come across inscriptions of a variety of games being played, on the walls or the seats. Indian traditional games taught many things- mathematics, strategy and more.
We wanted to reintroduce this tradition, especially at a time when children are glued to their phones or television and have no knowledge of these games. Kavade Hive has been a part of Gudiya Sambhrama for many years and we have them with us this year yet again.
Kavade is an endeavour to revive traditional games… board games that are on the brink of extinction. Housing a range of Indian and international games, Kavade is a one-of-a-kind store in Bengaluru that brings families and generations together, over simple pastime pleasures.
In a time when devices are set to take over lives, Kavade is an attempt to depart from ‘tech’ gaming, to celebrate table-top gaming. It is a take on slow down and wind down, sit back and throwback.
